Nehru had always despised the RSS. In every public speech, he denounced the RSS and Hindu Mahasabha, as communal organizations. After the Chinese invasion in 1962 RSS workers helped Indian Army to carry men/  material / fuel/ ammunition and essential supplies at great danger to themselves.

So, Nehru repented and asked RSS workers to take part in Republic Day parade on 26 January 1963. There could be a letter from Nehru to Golwalkar Guruji. But who can help?
